EDUCATORS ARE ALL-IN this fall to elect Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States.

After an abrupt shift in July that saw President Joe Biden end his reelection campaign and lead a massive movement to support Vice President Harris to take over as commander-in-chief next January, educators have joined hundreds of thousands nationwide on organizing zooms and in house meetings to win in November, protect our country and grow our democracy. NEA endorsed Harris for President in July.

“In a time when extremists are focused on banning books and taking away needed resources from our students, Vice President Harris has been leading efforts to get students the one-on-one support they need, keeping students and educators safe from gun violence and expanding school-based mental health programs,” CTA President David Goldberg says. “Educators know we have a seat at the table with this relationship, and CTA members are working hard to elect Vice President Harris.”

Harris says all educators are visionaries, focused on the future and seeing the potential in every child, which shapes the future of our nation — something desperately needed right now.

“Today, we face a choice between two very different visions for our nation: one focused on the future and the other focused on the past — and we are fighting for the future,” Harris said in July. “And in our vision of the future, we see a place where every person has the opportunity not just to get by but to get ahead — a future where no child has to grow up in poverty, where every senior can retire with dignity, and where every worker has the freedom to join a union.”
