After recent polls showed Villaraigosa an abysmal fourth place behind two Republicans and poll leader Gavin Newsom in the California gubernatorial race, the campaign has been infused with over 11 million dollars by 4 billionaire donors. Their corporate cash is meant to tip the scales and push privatizer proponent Villaraigosa past second and third place Republicans in the race, and to make the June primary run-off against Lt.
