“We are proud to announce educators’ support for these candidates who share our values of providing California students with the equitable and quality public education they need and deserve. Educators follow a thorough, democratic, and member-driven recommendation process because of the impact the work of elected officials has on teaching and learning. These are often difficult decisions but based on a candidate’s proven commitment in standing with students and educators,” said CTA President E. Toby Boyd, a kindergarten educator. “Providing students with access to well-resourced public schools requires stable funding. For that reason, we are committed to protecting the integrity of Prop. 98 which provides a minimum guarantee funding level. Educators took positions on ballot measures that reflect our values. We urge Californians to join us in supporting these candidates and educators’ positions this upcoming election.”
