We…are CTA. Teaching is a wonderful job. It's a beautiful job. I would never want to have any other job. We are CTA. You as a teacher…have to believe that you can make a positive change for every student. We are CTA. We're shaping the future of our kids. We need to be helping kids become very well-rounded students who could adapt to many fields. We are CTA. Because we know quality public schools make a better California for all of us.

You know what my favorite part really is when I greet students when they come in. Because I know what great things…we have in store in the classroom. When they come into my classroom, they're able to really get in touch with…who they are. My favorite part of teaching has…always been this opportunity to make a difference. Every student has the right…to quality education. No matter what…neighborhood you live in. We are CTA. We are CTA. We are CTA. Because we know quality public schools make a better California for all of us.

Our students don’t have part-time needs. So, they absolutely cannot have part-time solutions. One of changes that we need is smaller class sizes. We need a lot more school nurses…a lot more school counselors. Counselors provide that social, emotional core…that’s needed. Schools need to be safe places…for our children to learn. Every student has the right to quality education. No matter what neighborhood you live in.

Ahora que volvemos a la escuela, recuerdan la gran enseñanza nunca se olvida. Los maestros son los que pasan más tiempo en el salón con sus estudiantes y de verdad entienden las necesidades que tienen los estudiantes. Necesitamos muchos más consejeros y enfermeras. Es importante tener clases pequeñas para poder, yo como maestra, ayudar a mis estudiantes de la mejor manera. Todo estudiante tiene el derecho al estudio de alta calidad. Somos CTA. Somos CTA. Porque sabemos que las buenas escuelas públicas mejoran a california para todos.
