CCA Building Strong Locals Academy

The CCA Building Strong Locals (BSL) Academy is designed to train and empower faculty members with an emphasis on strengthening local chapters. The primary goal of the Academy is to help prepare faculty to work in their local chapters with confidence and have a working knowledge of their rights and responsibilities. Local presidents can nominate members or members can nominate themselves. The 2025 BSL Academy program will be delivered through the 2025 Winter Conference, 2025 Spring Conference, and 2025 Fall Conference and nominated candidates must commit to attending all three conferences

To apply for the CCA Building Strong Locals Academy (BSL), please complete this application: 2025 BSL Academy Application. The deadline to apply is January 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Completed applications should be sent to SCassella@cta.org.

CCA Bargaining Academy

The 2025 CCA Bargaining Academy provides an exciting and unique opportunity designed exclusively for chapter negotiating teams, not individuals.  A minimum of two participants from a bargaining team is required in order for a chapter to participate. The Bargaining Academy will include training on essential bargaining skills, provide up-to-date knowledge on bargaining laws and district budgets, all done in a very interactive, team-based session. The Bargaining Academy will be held in conjunction with the CCA 2025 Winter Conference and Bargaining Academy sessions will be held Saturday, February 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

To apply for the CCA Bargaining Academy, please complete this application: 2025 Bargaining Academy Application. The deadline to apply is January 6, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Completed applications should be sent to SCassella@cta.org.
