Fall – Bargaining

The Fall Conference is held in October and is dedicated to enhancing bargaining skills and coordinating strategies focused on collective bargaining. In addition to sessions on bargaining-related issues, we have our first Council meeting of the academic year. State Budget and Legislative updates will also be offered. The Fall Conference also features our CCA California Leadership Academy graduations.

  • Parking: Overnight self-parking is discounted to $30/car/night

Free Hotel Shuttle from SFO: Located on the Deperature Level, exit the terminal building and head towards the center median. Walk to the designated Hotel Courtesy Shuttle area for Shuttle labled “Westin/Aloft”. Shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes.

Expense Reimbursement Guidelines for 2024 CCA Fall Conference:

For the 2024 Fall Conference, CCA will reimburse the following expenses for all of the following:
State Council delegates, CCA board members, Academy participants, CCA awardees, and official delegates from a local on the delegate list submitted by the local president will have their expenses reimbursed as per the CCA standing rules.
Reimbursable Expenses: Must be submitted on an MES along with itemized receipt(s).
• Full cost of a single-occupancy hotel room at the conference rate
Round-trip mileage from home to the airport or the hotel
• Airport or hotel parking
• Coach airfare
• Lyft/Uber/taxi as necessitated for travel
THESE MEALS ARE NOT REIMBURSABLE FOR ANY ATTENDEES, INCLUDING GUESTS, AS THEY ARE INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION:Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast are all included with registration.  Family-friendly weekend meal passes are available free of charge upon registration of each member of the family as a “Guest.” **The only requirements are that attendees must register their Guest and have their Guest sign in at conference to receive a “Guest” badge.  For attendees and Guests, entry into the dining area will require a badge.
**PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ELECT TO NOT PARTAKE OF ANY OF THE ABOVE MEALS, YOU WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR ANY MEALS YOU PURCHASE ON YOUR OWN EITHER FOR YOURSELF OR YOUR GUEST(S)**.
Meals necessitated by travel will be reimbursed at a maximum rate of $90 per day, including gratuity. An itemized receipt is required for reimbursement. THE TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT DOES NOT APPLY TO GUEST(S) OF MEMBERS.
$10/day other gratuities (no receipt required).

**Attendees, other than those stated above, are generally not reimbursed their expenses by CCA, and should contact their local president for further information.

Health & Safety Policies (CCA will follow the current CTA guidelines, which are):

The health and safety of attendees, exhibitors and staff are our highest priority. In partnership with hotels, CTA will adhere to all official government and local authority guidance, as well as any venue or location-specific regulations.

All attendees, staff, presenters, exhibitors, and invited guests are strongly encouraged to wear a mask on-site in conference-designated programming areas. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is not required to attend the event.

Documents

Session documents will be available in the conference app and attendee hub closer to the start of the conference. You must be logged in to view session documents. Provided documents can be found at the bottom of each session page within the conference app and attendee hub.

Credits

Professional Growth Hours: Professional Growth credit will be available at no cost for CTA members. Confirmation of professional growth hours will be emailed shortly after the conference.

University Credit: The 2024-2025 University Credit Program is a benefit available to members attending CTA Conferences during the 2024-2025 school year. CTA Members, through attending in-person or virtual conferences, will be given the opportunity to accumulate the professional growth hours needed to qualify for university credit units with CSU, Chico. As a benefit to members, CTA will cover the cost for up to six university credit units with CSU, Chico, normally $85/credit. The professional growth hours can be accumulated by attending conferences live and/or by watching recordings.
