On Feb. 19 Gov. Newsom announced that 10 percent of all vaccines would be set aside for educators, and on March 1 he and the State Legislature reached agreement on a plan for schools to return to in-person instruction as early as April 1.

This is good news for educators, who have missed being with their students in physical classrooms and throughout school campuses. Many have received their first or second vaccinations and are eager for next steps.
