State Moves Deadline for Vaccine Requirement in Schools

April 14, 2022: The start date for the vaccine requirement in schools will be no sooner than July 1, 2023. Read the statement from the California Department of Public Health.

We must continue to enforce safety protocols in schools and remember that vaccines and boosters are the most effective layers of protection against being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19. The CDC recommends all eligible children and teens get vaccinated.

It’s vital that every eligible person get the vaccine and booster to prevent their own serious illness and to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
